Shameless (UK) - Season 3

The fun begins at 9 p.m. ET/PT with Season 3 of Shameless. It's several months after the last season ended and the Gallaghers are each seeking their own unique version of the "American Dream." Jimmy (Justin Chatwin) has moved into the Gallagher home, and Fiona (Emmy Rossum) soon realizes that a GED will only get her so far and that a long-term relationship with Jimmy isn't as fulfilling as she expected. Meanwhile, Frank (William H. Macy) reappears south of the border with no idea as to how he got there. Based on the long-running hit UK series, Shameless is executive produced by Emmy Award-winning television and film producer John Wells, as well as Paul Abbott and Andrew Stearn. Wells developed the series for American television.

Shameless (UK) - Season 3

Season 2 of House of Lies follows at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Starring Oscar-nominated actor Don Cheadle in his Emmy-nominated role as Marty Kaan alongside co-star Kristen Bell, this series is a timely comedy that dives head-first into the Shark Tank known as corporate America. Marty is the big-money earner at Galweather Stearn, who commands a hot, young team known as The Pod: Jeannie (Bell), Clyde (Ben Schwartz) and Doug (Josh Lawson). Marty and The Pod's work life revolves around first-class travel, top-shelf liquor and anything they can charge the client on a black Am Ex. Marty is the ultimate power player and under his direction, this ruthless, pull-no-punches team is here to beat the corporate suckers at their own game - and they're loving every minute of it. This season, The Pod - especially Marty and Jeannie - must deal with the fall-out from the big merger showdown. Meanwhile, Marty is thrown by the arrival of a new 'frenemy' at work and by Roscoe (Donis Leonard Jr.), who decides to move in with his lunatic mother, Monica (Dawn Olivieri). The series is based on the hit tell-all book from best-selling author Martin Kihn (House of Lies: How Management Consultants Steal Your Watch and Then Tell You the Time). Produced by Showtime, House of Lies is created and executive produced by Matthew Carnahan. Jessika Borsiczky, Stephen Hopkins and Don Cheadle also serve as executive producers.

At 10:30 p.m. ET/PT, Season 6 of Californication returns with David Duchovny in his Golden Globe-winning role as hedonistic novelist Hank Moody. Moody continually struggles to be a good father to his college-aged daughter Becca (Madeleine Martin), while still carrying a torch for her mother, and his ex-girlfriend, Karen (Natascha McElhone). This season, noted actress Maggie Grace (Lost) has signed on for nine episodes as the infamous rock groupie Faith, who develops an unconventional relationship with Hank. She is joined in two episodes by her former Lost co-star Jorge Garcia as an old contact from Faith's past. International comedy star Tim Minchin takes on the role of Atticus Fetch, a mad-as-a-hatter rock star who will write the music for the Broadway production of Hank's hit novel. Fetch enlists the ever-cynical Hank to collaborate on the project, which he calls "...a rock opera about love conquering all." Notorious rocker Marilyn Manson will also make a guest appearance. Californication is created and executive produced by Tom Kapinos and executive produced by Duchovny.

I agree with you, I bought the whole serie and I love it, I am from Sweden and it was going on a channel for a couple of years, but they stopped sending it. Then I started to look at Netflix the first six seasons and remembered how good it was. I understand that they where ending the series because everything must come to an end. But I am sad about that it ended anyway

Later this year, Showtime's long-running dramedy Shameless will air its eleventh and final season. Based on the British series of the same name, which notably ran for a much briefer amount of time, the William H. Macy-led series has been a staple of the cable channel's programming. But with over a decade of episodes behind it, Shameless' solid run is coming to a close. And over the course of 120+ episodes, the hit show has seen several major cast members come and go, with Emmy Rossum as the standout.

As Fiona Gallagher, the oldest sibling who took on most of the responsibilities in the multi-child house, Emmy Rossum played her most well-known role to date in Shameless, and it was certainly the one she played the longest too. In August 2018, however, Rossum revealed in an emotional Facebook post that she was making her exit from Shameless following its ninth season. The character of Fiona was taken off the series when she received a large sum of money and realized the Gallagher family grew up. Fiona wrote the family a $50,000 check and flew out of Chicago.

Throughout the first two seasons of Shameless, Laura Slade Wiggins played the recurring role of Karen Jackson, Lip's friend-with-benefits who found herself suffering frontal-lobe brain damage during the end of her time on the show. When we last saw her, Karen was taken to Arizona to be tended to by faith healers. There is a moment in Season 5 where the character is referenced by Sheila, but that's the last we see or hear of Karen Jackson in Shameless.

Given the severity of her character's condition, it seems unlikely that Karen Jackson will return to Shameless in its final season. When it comes to her departure from the series, Laura Slade Wiggins speculated in an interview with Talk Nerdy With Us that the writers wanted to return the focus back on the Gallagher family, which might explain why her character was taken off the show altogether. Since her time on Shameless, Laura Slade Wiggins has appeared in a few high-profile movies, including Rings and 20th Century Women, as well as some popular television shows, such as Chicago P.D., CSI, and Law & Order: SVU.

As Karen Jackson's husband Jody Silverman, Zach McGowan first appeared in Shameless' second season before he became a main character in Season 3. But his appearances on the Showtime series came to a close when Karen left for Arizona. Given the decision to take Karen off the show, it made sense that Jody Silverman would also leave with his wife in her time of need, thus keeping Zach McGowan off the show.

Introduced as the eldest daughter of Frank Gallagher, Emily Bergl's Sammi Slott played a key role in the fourth and notably fifth seasons of Shameless, as part of the storyline surrounding Frank needing a liver transplant. Alas, her tenure on Shameless didn't extend past this. At the end of Season 4, Sammi Slott is incarcerated after she tries to shoot Mickey. The last time audiences saw the character, Sammi was spending hard time in the slammer, and we haven't heard too much from her since then.

In joining Shameless as Mandy Milkovich, actress Emma Greenwell took over for Jane Levy, who played the part in Season 1. Mandy is, of course, Mickey's sister who eventually forms a friendship with Ian from Seasons 2 through 6. It was in the sixth season of Shameless, though, that Greenwell served merely as a guest star, where it was revealed that Mandy had become an escort after leaving for Indiana. After one of her clients died, Mandy fled once again, this time to an unknown destination.

A Russian prostitute who had a complicated history with the main characters, Svetlana Fisher was initially a guest star role for Isidora Goreshter when she first appeared in Season 3. The role grew into a recurring role from Seasons 4-6, and Goreshter became a series regular for 7 and 8. Alas, Isidora was written out of the series after the eighth season. When we last saw Svetlana, she'd married a senile old man and finally moved out of Kev and Veronica's house.

After 10 years and 11 seasons, Showtimes' hit series, Shameless, finally came to a close earlier this year. For the past decade, viewers have looked to the show for laughs, tears, and the much-needed reassurance that, "Hey, my family isn't that bad after all!" Throughout its long time on the air, Shameless' quality wavered from flawless to cringeworthy and back again. A lot. The show was never the most stable (in regards to both characters and writing), but that was half the fun. Viewers never knew which type of Shameless they were going to get and the only way to find out was to watch.

Even though it was a huge step up from the previous season, season 9 still did not live up to the standard that fans had come to expect. Part of the reason was this season acted as a direct sequel to season 8. Many of the sloppy plotlines that bogged the past season down continued into this season, mudding it for all the same reasons as its predecessor. Yes, the awful Gay Jesus storyline does make a reappearance.

Being the first season without Fiona as the leading lady, season 10 had a lot of issues to overcome and it showed. With their protagonist gone, the writers clearly struggled to find a new dynamic among the show's characters. The result was an aimless season filled with the cast acting various levels of out-of-character and making decisions that did not make sense given previous developments. For instance, Debby (Emma Kenney), the character who was previously one of the least responsible of all the Gallaghers, was suddenly deemed the new head of the family. Much like the rest of the season, it didn't make much sense.

The Gallaghers left season 6 at rock bottom. Fiona was abandoned at the altar, Lip fell prey to alcoholism, and the family cut ties with Frank (William H. Macy). Season 7 highlights how the gang can come back from that. Most of the lingering storylines from the first half of the series are tied up here, offering a sense of closure. Honestly, this season feels like an end to the series, odd given the fact that there are four more seasons after it.

And then came the season finale: the Thanksgiving episode. Yes, that Thanksgiving episode. A.K.A one of, if not the, most infamous episodes of the entire show. Long story short, the season ends with the Gallaghers' long-lost mother, Monica (Chloe Webb), attempting suicide during their holiday dinner. The episode is absolutely haunting and sets the tone for the entire series moving forward. 041b061a72
